I got into speaking because it scared the living daylight out of me. As a child growing up, I was bullied in school so I never really had much confidence. I even took up Martial Arts to help me build self-confidence and self-belief in myself.
Even then, as someone with introverted traits, I never really enjoyed large groups or social events. Networking was never easy because I was too shy to say hi.
This all changed when I started my own public speaking journey, I found that the more I spoke my truth about the challenges and struggles that I had endured and overcome, the better I feel.
The more I am able to help others by sharing my journey and how I overcame those challenges. This has allowed me to not even speak in public but also create my own podcast platform where others are able to share their experiences too.
As someone that didn’t really have a voice and now speaking my truth freely. I also want to help and inspire others in finding their own voices.
